activity – an enduro tour in Fuerteventura! Like all of
the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has volcanic
origins. But don’t worry - the volcanoes have been
extinct for over 4,000 years. What remains is a
mountainous desert landscape of canyons, eroded
riverbeds and miles of beautiful sandy beaches - an
enduro paradise in the midst of the Atlantic Ocean.
Explore this stunning island on a KTM EXC-R, enjoy
freshly caught fish and Canarian tapas, swing your
way through the canyons and drift over sandy
beaches towards the sunset.

Helmet
An off-road full-face helmet offers a good cooling. The lighter it is, the
less strain will be on your neck muscles. Motorcycle googles should be
equipped with a double lens that doesn’t fog up as easily.
Neckbrace
Is recommended but is not obligatory.
Protection
The full upper body protection protects your back, shoulders, upper
body and elbows. No one goes off-road without knee pads. Hip padding
is recommended and a kidney belt supports and relieves the strain on
your back muscles.
Clothes
A light weight cross shirt with a ventilated Enduro jacket and
depending on the weather a waterproof top. (Lined jackets with
integrated protection are less suitable for the hotter climates) Cross
pants of synthetic materials are robust and yet lightweight.
Gloves
Motocross gloves are the best for off-road riding; wear neoprene gloves
if it rains.
Boots
Robust (off road or motocross) boots have prevented more than a few foot
and ankle injuries. A smooth sole helps steady you when drifting.
Please bring also your hydration pack or a drinking bottle and first aid equipment with you!

RULES OF CONDUCT AT TRIPS & TRAVELS
Firstly on all our KTM Adventure Tours we ask that you do not only bring along a strong desire to participate but
also a friendly open attitude towards your fellow training colleagues!
Now just a few short sentences that will probably send you to sleep but unfortunately still, all to frequently, have
to be said, so please do read carefully.
All KTM Adventure Tours are led by experienced instructors and tour guides. Striking out down the trail on your
own is both prohibited and dangerous. Your guide knows the area like the back of his hand. People who think
they can strike out on their own are number one, throwing their tour fee out the window, because they’re missing
out on the most beautiful spots; secondly, they’re cheating the rest of the group out the experience because,
instead of riding, they’re now forced to go on a search and rescue effort somewhere in the wilderness. Even if we
have “Ready to Race” branded on our foreheads, we’re not running a race on these training courses. You’ll have
the most fun, if you enjoy the training at a pace that doesn’t overwhelm you. Don’t worry: for the really fast ones,
there’ll always be enough rough spots to contend with!
On public roads and between city limits, you must conform to the traffic regulations and speed limits we have all
learned to love. Only bikes in street-legal condition are allowed on our trips and travels. So leave that burned-out
racing hulk at home.
Independently of any specific technical skills, riding a bike off road requires a willingness to absorb a certain
amount of punishment. In any case you need to take a break in the middle of the tour, be sure to inform the
tourguide, who can also show you the shortest way back to the hotel.
THE ENDURO SPIRIT
The most fascinating thing about riding Enduro is that it is so multi-faceted. Enduro brings together motor
racing, endurance sport, the experience of nature, team spirit and the highest mental challenges.
Anyone can ride Enduro. You need neither be in superhuman shape nor possess any exceptional skills. Everybody
starts small. Beginners with modest riding skills usually end up having just as much fun as experienced veterans.
The demands placed on an Enduro rider are extremely varied
» You should be familiar with the bike’s technology, capable of preparing, maintaining, adjusting your machine,
and if the case arises, of fixing it with few tools.
» You should be proficient in riding, able to master trial sections as well as long dirt road stretches.
» You should be able to adapt your riding style to the terrain and weather conditions.
» You will require a dose of courage!
» You must be in good physical shape and possess a well-developed sense of balance; quick reactions and good
coordination don’t hurt either.
The most exciting in Enduro sports are the intensive moments that we can find in nature with our bikes.

CONDITIONS TOUR AND LEASE AGREEMENT
1. Tour and Lease Agreement:
The Tour and Lease Agreement shall be effective upon written confirmation of participation from KTM Events & Travel Service AG, CH-8500 Frauenfeld (thereafter referred to as “Promoter”) and
is for both obligatory.
2. BREADTH OF SERVICES:
(1) The range of services rendered under this Agreement shall be determined by the corresponding brochure in effect upon time of application. Any services not explicitly referenced in the
brochure shall not be included within the Tour fee.
(2) Promoter reserves the right to change the Tour, especially the itinerary and the accommodation, if necessary for good cause. Promoter shall seek not to change the main characteristics of the
Tour and render equal services.
3. Requirements for the Customers:
(1) Participation shall be restricted to KTM motorcycles only.
(2) Only Customers holding a valid driver’s license with proper motorcycle endorsement at the time of the Tour shall be eligible to participate.
(3) All Customers must wear adequate protective equipment while riding. Helmets are required at all time without exceptions!
(4) If Customer is providing his private KTM motorcycle to ride on the Tour, he shall be fully responsible for the flawless technical condition of his motorcycle and the compliance with all
mandatory and Promoter’s requirements (for example: knobbly tyres). Promoter and Tour Guide shall have no obligation to observe the compliance with these requirements.
(5) It shall be Customer’s own discretion to determine whether his riding skills and experience are sufficient to accomplish the itinerary of the chosen Tour. Promoter and Tour Guide shall have no
obligation to determine and monitor Customer’s riding skills.
4. Lease of Motorcycle:
(1) KTM motorcycles may be available for lease on selected Tours. The motorcycle to be leased shall be reserved upon registration to the Tour. The leased motorcycle shall only be used to
participate the booked Tour.
(2) At the latest upon taking possession of the leased motorcycle, customer shall put down a security deposit in addition to the leasing rate. The security deposit shall be of the amount stated in
the brochure. The security deposit, minus eventual expenses for repairs of damages to the motorcycle, shall be reimbursed to the customer upon returning the leased motorcycle.
(3) The term of the lease shall not be interrupted as long as the motorcycle is unusable due to customer’s fault or incapacity to ride the motorcycle.
5. Immigration, Customs, Visa and Vaccination:
Some of the destination countries within the Tour have special ID, customs, visa or vaccination regulations. Customer shall refer to the brochure for more details or is informed otherwise by the
Promoter. It shall be customer’s own responsibility to comply with those regulations, in particular to organize visa or get vaccines.
6. Infringements of Traffic Laws or Tour Guide instructions:
In the event that the Customer negligently infringes traffic laws or Tour Guide instructions, Promoter shall be entitled to terminate this Agreement and seize the motorcycle. The Tour or Lease fee
is non-refundable.
7. Liability:
(1) Customer participates at his own risk. The liability of KTM Events & Travel Service AG, CH-8500 Frauenfeld, KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG and their respective servants and/or employees, is
limited to the triple amount of the Tour and Lease fee, regarding customer’s loss arising from his participation at the Tour, unless the damage is caused by KTM Events & Travel Service AG’s, CH-
8500 Frauenfeld, KTM Sportmotorcycle AG’s or their respective sub-contractors and/or employees’ default or gross negligence, or in case Promoter is liable for a customer’s loss solely due to the
default of a service provider. The limit of liability shall not apply to Customer’s bodily injuries.
(2) Customer shall sign a separate declaration on limitation of liability before participating the Tour. The declaration shall be submitted to the Customer along with the confirmation of application.
If Customer is not willing to sign the declaration of limitation, he shall notify Promoter in writing and registered mail within 7 days upon receipt of the declaration and may not participate in the
Tour. If Customer does not give timely notice or does not submit the signed declaration upon participation at the Tour, Promoter may immediately terminate this Agreement. Customer will be
reimbursed for the amount of the Tour and Lease fee already paid, minus the amount of the cancellation fee as spelled out in Section 9 of this Agreement, or, if Tour and Lease fee has not been
paid yet, Customer shall pay the cancellation fee.
(3) KTM Events & Travel Service AG, CH-8500 Frauenfeld, KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG and Tour Guide waive any liability for property damage or bodily injuries caused by Customer in case the
damage is not covered by compulsory liability insurance. The liability is in any event limited to the amount of coverage provided by the compulsory insurance for the specific loss. In this case,
Customer shall indemnify and hold harmless KTM Events & Travel Service AG, CH-8500 Frauenfeld, KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG and the Tour Guide.
(4) Personal adequate insurance coverage is recommended.
8. Payment:
(1) A down payment of 40 % of the invoiced price is required within 2 weeks upon receipt of the invoice. The rest shall be paid 4 weeks prior to the Tour at the latest.
(2) In the case of payment by credit card, payment of the total sum will be required after confirmation of the booking.
9. Termination and Assignment:
(1) Applicant may terminate the Agreement anytime. The following cancellation fees shall become due upon cancellation by the applicant
- 20 % of the Tour and Lease fee if cancelled from application up to
8 weeks prior to the Tour,
- 50 % of the Tour and Lease fee if cancelled from 8 to 4 weeks prior
to the Tour,
- 85 % of the Tour and Lease fee if cancelled within 4 weeks prior to the
Tour or non-attendance without notification.
Customer shall notify Promoter in writing by registered mail. The terms above refer to Promoter’s physical receipt of applicant’s notification. Promoter may compensate applicant’s down payments
against cancellation fees. Other participation fees already paid shall be reimbursed. Personal adequate insurance coverage is recommended.
(2) Customer may assign the Agreement to another Customer, if the assignee meets all of the requirements of participation and Promoter is notified thereof within a timely manner. Assignor and
new Customer shall be jointly liable for the outstanding payment of the invoice or any additional costs arising out of the assignment. Ticketed flight reservations may not be assigned!
For miscellaneous services, such as ticket bookings, separate conditions come into effect.
10. Cancellation of the Tour:
(1) Promoter reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Tour anytime for good cause. Promoter may also cancel the Tour up to two weeks prior to the Tour, in the event that too few participants
signed up for the Tour. Customer shall be informed thereof in writing without delay.
(2) In case of Promoter postponing or canceling the Tour, Customer may choose to either participate in a similar Tour, if feasible for Promoter, or to be reimbursed.
11. Severability:
If any provision in this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the remainder of the provisions or enforceable parts of this Agreement shall not be affected, and shall be
enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Governing Law and Venue:
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, unless restricted by law. Litigation arising out of this Agreement shall be held at the court of Frauenfeld, Switzerland
